How to increase your Shopify conversion rate. Hey guys, welcome back to the YouTube channel
0:06
Today I will be taking a look at how you can increase your Shopify conversion rate. So let's
0:12
get into it. Now I have a couple of lists and I have some stats on what is the ideal Shopify store
0:19
for a customer and we'll be taking a look at that data and then customizing our Shopify store
0:26
accordingly. So let's get into it. Now this is just a sample website that I created to
0:32
you know show you guys what are the improvements that you can make in any basic Shopify store
0:38
how you should assemble it, what are the different ways that you can integrate these tips that I'm
0:43
going to share into a basic simple store. So to get started what do users really want? That's
0:49
your first question. If you want higher conversion then you want to first understand what your
0:55
consumers want. So if I take a look I've just made these few pointers for you guys to follow
1:00
along with. Now the first thing I've heard from all customers is to simplify the user experience
1:07
If I go on to a e-com store and I can't find the buy now or add to cart button I will be annoyed
1:14
I won't want to shop there. So simplifying the user experience is one of the most important things
1:19
Now in your menu you want your menu to indicate the shop button, the shop button or the categories
1:25
or the tops, the bottoms, whatever you're selling. There should be a very simple call to the shop
1:31
page directly on your home page. Now moving on to the next step. Now 86% of users want product
1:40
information on the home page. So a lot of people think that their home page should only include
1:46
brand information, you know the banner, brand info but having featured products or hot sellers or
1:52
new arrivals or sale products, whatever you're trying to push or promote is a great way to get
1:59
people to shop. You know it's sometimes a lot of customers don't even want to buy a specific item
2:04
they just browse around and if they find something they like they just buy it. So having items that
2:09
are hot sellers or featured products on the basic home page can increase your sales by a lot. So
2:16
I definitely do think that it is something you should do and include products on your home page
2:22
just like this. So using this kind of template is actually very effective because you have a basic
2:27
banner that can convey your product, your brand information and then right below it you have some
2:32
featured products. Now after that consumers have said that 88% of consumers trust customer reviews
2:40
So if I take a look at my product over here and it has no reviews whatsoever, people are not going
2:46
to be very likely to buy it. They want to see customer input, they want to see what it actually
2:52
looks like, any of you know the information that people have shared. People might think like oh it's
2:58
true to size or it fits petite people like this, it fits tall people like this because they are
3:03
sharing user information. You cannot really share that by yourself. So it's very essential to have
3:09
reviews. If you're using a dropshipped product that is dropshipped from AliExpress or any other
3:14
dropshipped platform, you can easily uh import reviews from AliExpress or any other dropshipping
3:21
platform with a simple integration. I have detailed videos that on that on the channel as well
3:27
So if you want to learn how to import reviews, make sure to check those out as well. Now moving on to
3:34
our next step which is user generated content increases conversions by 26%. So user generated
3:41
content by user generated content, I mean reviews, product reviews, if they see it on Instagram
3:47
you know as long as it's coming from a consumer, a person that has bought the product and is now
3:52
reviewing it or showing it or you know being like hey I used this, it looks like this on me or I
3:58
used it, I liked it or I used it, it was fine, whatever is user generated content is going to
4:04
get more conversions. Why? People get a more realistic image of the product and a more, you
4:09
could say a more relatable image of the product. Now moving on to how do you actually increase your
4:17
conversion? We can see the different things that consumers are requesting but how can we actually
4:23
integrate this onto our Shopify stores? Well first off is to have a banner at the top at all times
4:31
where you can list your free shipping or discount. So you can add a promo code that can provide a flat
4:37
10% or 5% discount. People love to receive free shipping. You can set a threshold for free shipping
4:44
so spend $100 and get free shipping and you can put those banners on the top of your screen. You
4:49
can see where I have my welcome to my store banner. What you want to do is go into your online store
4:54
and you actually want to go into your themes and you want to customize your headers or your
4:59
navigation, your just your general theme. You can click on customize over here and you will get your
5:06
theme. Now you will see the announcement section, you can choose the alignment, you can choose the
5:10
link, you can choose the you know the info that you want and you can click on this and make this
5:15
like a sticky header or just add free shipping as a part of your header as well to make sure that it
5:22
is you know it is displayed at all times to all of your consumers. Now moving on to our next tip
5:30
that is to add reviews. As I said adding a simple integration can help you in importing reviews. If
5:37
you don't have any reviews you can easily import them so just go into your search bar, click on apps
5:42
and you will go into apps and sales channels, click on Shopify app store from here and you will just
5:49
search for Judgeme reviews and there are multiple different applications. Judgeme is just a simple
5:55
example that I'm showing you guys. So Judgeme product reviews you can add this, this will enable
6:02
customers to add reviews and then you have Judgeme AliExpress reviews where you can import reviews
6:07
from AliExpress onto your Shopify store without having to do it manually. It's very automated and
6:13
you can even filter out the reviews that you want to add. Now moving on to our next tip which is to
6:20
make sizes and colors easy to select. They should be very compact and not excessive. Now by this I
6:28
have a good example. You can see this is the product, it's listed there, I have all the sizes
6:33
This is listed wrong. Why you might say? Well whenever you're listing your sizes make sure you're
6:38
listing the smallest size to the left and then largest to the right. They need to be in that
6:43
ascending order. The reason for that is it just looks a lot more professional. Your site looks
6:48
very non-professional if you list your sizes like this. Secondly you also want to make sure these
6:54
are compact. So these are compact, these are in one line. You don't want to exceed more than one line
6:58
in terms of colors and sizes. Those often confuse people and people just don't feel like it's a very
7:05
good e-commerce site because it replicates you know supplier websites like AliExpress or Alibaba
7:11
where they have you know so many sizes and so many different colors. Now moving on to our next tip
7:16
we have special discount offers to capture emails. Now whenever you go onto a store they ask you
7:23
to give your email to get a discount. This is a very effective way to capture more customer emails
7:31
and when you capture more customer emails you will be able to get more emails and have customers
7:37
converting because you can see you have you know email pop-up, you can use any of these
7:41
integrations to create these pop-ups that appear on the front of your store and what this will do
7:46
is that if a customer gives their email for a 10% discount and then they they're like oh maybe I
7:51
really don't want this product. What you can do is you have their email and you know what items they
7:56
put in their cart. You can be like hey we are going to give you a special 20% discount on this product
8:01
so buy now or something like that. That will prompt the customer that was not going to convert
8:07
into becoming a converting customer. So moving on to our next tip which is to add automatic geolocation
8:15
and language. You have multiple different applications on Shopify to translate your website
8:20
so you want to translate and add currencies according to the local currency to where you're
8:25
shipping. Obviously this is not applicable if you're only selling in one country you have the
8:30
same currency but if you're an international store you need to make sure you have multiple
8:34
different currency and payment options available. Now moving on to our next tip that is to have
8:43
autofill forms. So autofill forms can be really helpful in getting recurring customers. I don't
8:51
want to fill my information over and over again. You have the basic Shopify checkout system already
8:57
has the autofill. You just have to enable it and that is it and that allows customers to buy again
9:02
and again from you without feeling like they're you know establishes a brand connection with your
9:08
website or your e-commerce store. So these are the few tips and tricks that you can deploy to
9:12
increase the conversion of your Shopify store. I hope you guys found this video helpful. Make sure
