In this video, I'm going to show you how to move contacts from your phone to your Google account
0:06
So let's get started. The first thing I'll do is open the contacts on my phone
0:13
So here I've reached my contacts and now what I have to do is export the contacts from here
0:20
So it'll get exported into a .vcf or .csv file and then what we'll have to do is import that to our Google account
0:30
So based on the phone which you have, this page may look a bit different
0:35
but you'll have to look for an option that says export contacts
0:40
So for all Samsung phones, you'll have to click on the three dots that are over here
0:45
then click on manage contacts and as you can see there's an option called export contacts
0:54
If you have another phone, just see the different options and look for one which says export contacts
1:01
So now I'm exporting all of my contacts to and I can select the destination
1:08
So I'll just select internal storage and click on export. And as you can see a .vcf file has been created in our internal storage
1:21
So now what I have to do is go to my Google account and just import these over there
1:27
So first I'll open my browser and then search contacts.google.com So this is the Google contacts page and now make sure you've signed in with the account where you want to import the contacts
1:44
So you can change the account by clicking on the top right and log into any other account that you want
1:53
So here I've logged into this account and as you can see right now I have zero contacts
2:00
But now to import contacts, click on the three lines which are on the left and select import
2:08
Then click on select file and in your recent files you'll find the .vcf file that we created
2:16
So select it and click on select. Then click on import and as you can see it's getting imported
2:25
It may take a few seconds and now it's done. As you can see 521 contacts have been imported to this email ID
2:35
So this is basically how it works and if you want to know some important Google settings, you can check out this video over here
2:43
That's it for today, goodbye
