And today I'll show you how you can take any YouTube video and automatically generate a transcript

So here's an example of a video that I would like to generate a transcript for

I'm just going to click the share button and I'm going to choose copy

From here, I'm going to open the website youtube-transcript.com. Now I'm just going to paste my link and click go

You'll see the video to the left-hand side of your screen and the transcript to the right

What's great is that I can go all the way to the end of the transcript, click a line, and

the video will automatically jump to that position. So with my transcript on the right, I can select all the text that I want to copy

open a program like Google Docs, and then paste that text. Now depending on the captions in YouTube

you'll notice that your transcript may not always be grammatically correct. So you can use the built-in features like the spelling and grammar check to fix some mistakes in the transcript

Or of course, you can always go in and manually clean this document up on your own
