How to create a business account on Facebook
0:03
Hey guys, welcome back to the YouTube channel. Today, we will be going over how you can create a business account on Facebook
0:11
So let's get into it. Now, the first step is to create your page
0:16
So by business account, I basically mean you're going to create your own Facebook page
0:21
that is going to serve as your business account. So the first thing you want to do is log on to your pre-existing Facebook account
0:28
Click on these top right dots. so on the top of your screen you can create pages as groups so you're just going to click on page
0:36
once you do that on the left side of your screen you can see the page name now over here you're
0:41
going to enter the name of your business whatever it is that is what is going to be the name of your
0:46
page so even if it's a fundraiser it's a charity organization it's a clothing brand it's a
0:53
subscription box whatever is the business name should be added over here so let's say our business
1:00
is Jimmy's coffee shop and then you have the category. So let's say it is a cafe and you can add
1:06
multiple different categories. They can be if it's a coffee shop it's a cafe but it also fits under
1:13
the category of our coffee shop and cafeteria but maybe not cafeteria so cafe and coffee shop
1:19
So you can add multiple different categories make sure the top one two are the ones that are most
1:24
applicable. You don't want to start off with the random categories and only add those that apply
1:28
you don't want to add random ones and once you have done that you will enter your bio so once you add
1:33
your bio it can be anything you want it could be a tagline tag phrase you're going to click on create
1:39
page on the bottom left and we are one step ahead in creating our own facebook business profile
1:46
so i'm just going to wait a couple of seconds for this to be uploaded now after that you have all
1:51
of this information that you want to add so your contact i definitely recommend if you have a website
1:57
to enter a website link. If you have a, you know, like a coffee shop, then I would add the phone number
2:02
of my coffee shop. Then a business email address that you are using strictly for business
2:07
That should usually be by the name of your business organization. Then you have your location
2:12
You want to add all of that Then you want to add your hours Hours are very important especially if your business is something like a store So if it a store restaurant any of those physical locations then you definitely want to add the selected hours
2:26
So you can click on Open at a selected hours. And let's say I open at 9 and then close at, let's say I close to just like that
2:37
So I can just add that. And you can see if you have any lunch breaks or anything like that, you can click on the plus icon
2:44
and add multiple different intervals of your openings and closing so on and so forth so after you've done that you're going to click on next you want to make sure you're adding all this information then you have your profile picture and cover photo now for this what i recommend is you go on to canva and build your logo you can go on to canva search in the template gallery for a logo you can see a lot of different logos so you guys can see there are so many different options available you can go
3:14
can pick out any one that fits and you can enter your own name instead of this one so it can be
3:21
anything you want so I'm just going to take a simple little template over here like so and I'm just
3:29
adding my own information instead and I'm just resizing the text so it fits a little better because
3:36
my coffee shop name is a little longer so I just wanted to fit a little better like so and once I've
3:42
done that I can click on share on the top right click on download and download this as a png you can customize the logo however you want
3:50
this is just for businesses that are established maybe you didn't previously put too much thought
3:56
or time and you don't have the time maybe this is like not that essential so for those people
4:02
they can save a lot of time using a pre-existing template if you don't want to use a template still
4:07
using canva is going to be a great option to build your profile now after that you want to add a cover
4:13
photo, you can obviously add your own images. If you don't have your own images yet
4:20
you can go onto a platform like VicTizi, and you can just search for whatever you want
4:25
and you can get a bunch of different royalty-free images, and there are a bunch of different ones
4:30
that you can pick out from. It totally up to you what you want to pick out from here So I just going to take this image click on free download and in just a couple of seconds my download would be completed so once this has been completed i
4:44
will add my cover photo like so and after that you have add your action button now this is so
4:52
important i definitely do think it's one of the most important things that people skip out on
4:58
for any business any kind of business it might be online it might be a physical location
5:03
You want to add a customized action button for what is applicable
5:08
So sending a message is very basic. So you want to add an actionable button
5:13
So let's say it is start order. So that can be a great action button
5:18
People can order coffee online directly from your Facebook page. After that you can enter your website link and your page would be completed
5:27
I'm just doing this for a reference. And once you have your action button ready
5:32
button ready you are going to click on next on the bottom left now we're going to move on to the next step now after that you have connect WhatsApp if you're not using that you can skip that we're just going to continue on and now I'm actually going to move on ahead into some of the mistakes a bunch of different people that are new business owners that are just creating their Facebook page for their business create so the first thing is not adding your logos once you've added your images it might feel like okay I can
6:02
start you know posting but you don't want to do that it's very tempting to just start adding you know
6:07
your social media content or anything like that but the first thing you want to do is to actually
6:13
create your username now usernames are created directly uh based upon your facebook name but for your
6:21
username you want to make sure you know it's going to show up as at the rate of jimmy's coffee shop
6:26
so whatever you select as your username you want to make sure that it looks good it's
6:32
you know, honors your brand name and your business name. And you guys can see over here we have a
6:37
home page. We have a bunch of different items to manage engagement. But the most important step is to
6:42
then restructure your menu bar. So you guys can see this is a menu bar on your Facebook page. On
6:48
any Facebook page this is the menu bar you see And there might be some items that are not applicable like questions books TV programs This is not applicable for a coffee shop so you want to click on the top right over here and then you can actually go into your settings
7:03
directly so i can't find my settings button over here i'm just going to click on edit click on manage
7:11
and then i'm going to go into menu so on the left side of my screen i have found my overview
7:18
And in my overview, we have, you know, the menu tab on our page, but I don't want to add that
7:24
I want to actually customize this first. And I'm going to click on managed sections over here
7:29
So once we have managed sections, I want to remove books, TV programs, film, sports
7:34
Maybe I want check-ins. I don't want music added, just like that
7:39
So just like that, I have actually managed to, you know, remove the excess things in our panel that are not going to be applicable for a coffee shop
7:48
Now once you have restructured your basic menu page for your Facebook business profile
7:54
you want to set up your messaging greeting. So if you go into your settings on the left side of your screen on your managed page, you
8:01
can actually see this is going to lead you to your actual settings, but you want to click on
8:06
over here, open up the Meta Business Suite. From here you are going to click on inbox
8:11
So I'm going to select my Facebook page, which is Jimmy's Coffee Shop, then I'm going to click
8:16
on inbox. And in the inbox you want to set up your custom greetings
8:21
Obviously this will show you all of the pre-existing ones and you can click on the top over here which says automations
8:27
And you're going to add instant reply, frequently ask questions, and you can click on create automations
8:34
Click on start from scratch and you can enter a name, how you want the name to appear, what happens
8:39
So when a new message is received, you can take an action so you can send message and you can add a message like a message like
8:47
So you guys can see on the right side we have this little preview of how our message will appear
8:53
So you guys can see how you can add a couple of different automations in terms of messaging
8:57
And then you can actually go on ahead and go back to your Facebook page and start posting and uploading your social media content once you set up some of these basic pillars to your business profile
9:07
