Best Monday.com alternatives, project management tools
0:04
Hey guys, welcome back. In this video, we'll be going down a quick list of a few tools that can help you in automating
0:10
your work that are not Monday.com because sometimes using Monday.com can be a bit overwhelming
0:17
so I'm going to show you guys some of the alternatives. Now, Monday.com is a project management space, and they have a lot of features
0:24
but they have some limitations considering that their free plan does not actually have a lot of
0:29
automations or integrations available. Now, although they are offering you a great way to work, it is pretty limited
0:36
So we have a few alternatives such as Asana. Now, Asana provides a project management tool with a user-friendly interface
0:44
That is pretty decent looking, although the user interface has been considered a bit outdated right now
0:50
because of the new views and boards available on other tools, it still does its job and has
0:56
a free plan with up to 15 users. whereas Monday's free forever plan is only for up to two users
1:02
So you can have a team of 15 working in Asana, whereas in Monday you can only have two people working in one space
1:09
Now, Monday.com has a HIPAA compliant side. However, Isana, by the time of this video, is still not HIPAA compliant
1:19
Now, Monday.com also has built-in time tracking, whereas if you go into Isana, you have to go on ahead and customize and add an application
1:28
to be able to have time tracking. Now, Monday.com also allows for assigning a single task to multiple people, whereas Asana
1:37
till the time of this video, currently you guys can see it can only allow you to add a single
1:43
person and then you have assigning to multiple people. However, you can't build a multiple assignee file
1:49
So if I go on ahead and I want to multi-select people that are not assignees, that's a little
1:54
tricky to do on Asana. Now both of these tools are great but we have some other alternatives as well such as Basecamp Now Basecamp has features like To lists and Message lists and gathers answers all in one spot It usually great to build a workflow and a knowledge management system that can help with all of your employees or your teammates to be able to access all basic information about your project
2:20
Now, it gives you a quick visualization of your entire project and you are able to see everything where it is
2:26
However, in terms of having things such as goals, milestones, and being able to actually achieve those in a orderly fashion, it can be a bit overwhelming to use Basecamp as a beginner team
2:38
Now, next up on our list is ClickUp. Now, ClickUp is popular for quite a few reasons
2:45
It has its core features integrated into project management. It has task creation and Gant charts and also has some collaborative capabilities
2:53
It also has docs, notes, inboxes, and whiteboards, and clickups' main advantages over Monday.com
3:00
include its chat channels to facilitate real-time chatting and collaboration between teammates
3:07
It also has supporting slash commands, and you can also have your ad-on Gmail to be able to support your mailing activity directly from your project manager
3:16
However, Monday.com's free plan has no such features that would enable you to do so
3:21
On the flip side, Monday.com is a much more robust all-in-one solution than ClickUp because of the inbuilt features that are usually enough for most teams
3:32
Now, Monday.com offers you a sales feature, a marketing features, lead generation products, whereas ClickUp requires integrating with third-party app CRMs
3:42
To access many of these solutions, if you're looking, to access many of these solutions, if you're looking for a all-in-one tool, then ClickUp is going to be a bit
3:51
difficult because you're going to have to integrate multiple different items within ClickUp to be able to use it to its fullest capabilities. However
4:00
Monday.com, although it's not primarily a project manager, it has all the
4:04
features that you would need for a good project manager as well as a good marketing tool a good sales tool a good email marketing manager a good lead manager as well Now if you take a look at some of the other alternatives we have we also have
4:20
Jira. Now, Jira is a project management software suitable for agile teams and technical users
4:25
specifically. I wouldn't recommend this to retail executives or retail teams because it's not built
4:31
for those purposes. It provides you with bug tracking and advanced reporting, including user workloads
4:38
average issues, age, and recently created issues for project managers. Now, to make some better informed decisions
4:46
Jira is a better tool for technical teams, including features such as velocity charts and burnup and burn down charts
4:54
However, if we take a look at Monday.com, it needs to be integrated into some other tools of third-party applications
5:00
to be able to provide you with burn-up and burn-down charts. Now, number five on our list is Microsoft Project
5:08
Now, Microsoft Office 365 comes with MS Project and MS Project Online, integrating the best of the 365 apps with tools needed for project management
5:19
Plus, it has some nice features like tracking resource costs and burn down reports
5:24
However, there are a couple of downsides. Now, as one can guess, MS Project Online does not integrate with the Google workspace applications like Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and more
5:36
which are usually the primary types of communication that most teams and businesses are holding
5:42
So that alone usually is not a good way to get started
5:46
However, we also have more alternatives such as SmartSheet. Now, SmartSheet is number six on our list, and this list is in no particular order
5:55
Now, SmartSheet offers a spreadsheet-like interface that makes it easy to get started
6:00
Coupled with file sharing and workflows, it gives users instant familiarity without requiring
6:06
training which is seldom seen when introducing these kinds of new products both
6:11
companies are HIPAA compliant and SmartSheet even has more customization has more customizeable notifications than Monday which include email notifications mobile push messaging apps and approval requests On the flip side Monday offers a more
6:28
comprehensive activity log, more status options, and ultimately more of a scalable product that can
6:34
be used across virtually all types of teams. So these are two pretty different tools. However
6:42
all of these tools are primarily doing the same thing. Now, if there's a simpler and more bare-bones
6:47
version, it is Trello. Now, it's a popular drag-and-drop task management platform designed around
6:54
the Canban methodology. Its interface is composed of these cards and these simple boards
7:00
and the users can color code and customize with stickers. It allows for creation of public and
7:05
private boards with an unlimited number of users. Plus, in terms of advantages, Trello users have
7:11
a simple interface that can seem less complicated than Monday's interface for a first-time user
7:19
Plus, although there is a 10-mb file upload limit or attachment for free members and a 250-megabyte
7:25
upload limit for paid members. By comparison, Monday has limited storage based on its pricing plans
7:32
However, on the flip side, Monday does provide you with more views, including GANC charts
7:37
as well as calendar views, and more. Now, moving on to our final or..
7:41
alternative, we have Reich. So Reich is a tool that is super easy and simple to use. It is really a
7:48
basic tool that is a collaborative tool between ClickUp or Asana. And you can find features of all
7:56
kinds on Reich as well. It has a separate segregation for different workflows and you can
8:01
manage and collaborate effectively. Now, these are all the amazing alternatives for Monday and you
8:07
can use any one of these alternatives depending on your personal preferences and needs for your
8:13
projects or business so i hope you guys found this video helpful if you did make sure to leave a like
