In this video, we're going to learn how you can take a YouTube video and embed it inside any Microsoft Word document
0:07
But before we do that, consider subscribing to my YouTube channel where each week I'll be uploading new content on a variety of topics including some videos on Microsoft Office applications
0:18
So thanks for your consideration and now let's get started with the video
0:22
So check this out, this is an argumentative essay that a student has written and not only do they have text to support their argument, but they were able to embed YouTube videos
0:32
And whoever is reading this can actually watch the video play directly inside the document
0:37
How do we do this? Well, it's ridiculously simple. First, let's try this in Word Online
0:43
So all you need to do is to find the video that you want to embed, click the share button, and copy
0:50
Next, go to your Word document, find a spot where you want to embed the video, paste your link, and then just hit enter or return
0:59
And the next thing you know, Word Online is automatically going to embed that video inside your document
1:05
This will allow people a chance to view the video directly below your text
1:10
Now from here, I can continue to edit my document and then I can share it as a link where anyone can read it
1:17
Now you also have the ability to embed a video in Word Desktop. It's just done a little differently
1:23
From the ribbon, select insert, online videos, and then paste the URL to the YouTube video that you want to embed, then select insert
1:36
Your video is now embedded inside the document and you do have the ability to resize if you'd like
1:44
So hopefully this video was helpful for you. I'm going to leave you with a few other videos that you might also like
1:51
Thank you for watching and have a great day
