I hope you all are doing great and are having an amazing day. I bring you back with yet another great design-related tutorial

And in this tutorial, we're going to be discussing about Canva and how you can create your very own digital planner on it

Please do make sure to watch this video till the end because this video is going to be very informational and in-depth

And, yeah, just make sure to watch it till the end to gain all the knowledge you can relate it

to digital planners and Canva and how you can use Canva to make it

So without further ado, let's get straight into the video. So first of all, let's go ahead and discuss what digital planners are

So digital planners are basically, you could say, booklets or diaries, like a form of diaries which basically plan things out for you

And like if I were to go into images to give you a better look of what a digital planner is

So let's go with this. So as you can see in this image, or maybe this image

you can see that digital planner is like a diary. It's like a registered booklet like this

And basically, you have different dates, days, and sections in the planner

And in that planner, you can basically plan out your tasks, routines, daily doings

Like anything you do, you can write it down into your digital planner

And according to that, you can work away. So, yeah, that's what a digital planner is

and is very useful and very helpful when it comes to assigning yourselves tasks or making your life easier

So, yeah, that's what a digital planner is, and that is what we're going to be learning to make on Canva

Now, if you don't know what Canva is, Canva is basically a free design tool, which it's like one of the best online graphic design tools, if not the best graphic design tool there is

and it's totally free. There are different plans that we're going to discuss in a moment

but it's like totally free. There's no trial or anything. You can use the free plan for as long as you like

You can make as many designs as you like, and it has tons and tons of features

So the whole world uses this, so why not you? So yeah, that's what Canva is

and we're going to get into the main website of Canva, which is Canva.com. So here we are. This is Canva.com

and over here we're going to start doing our work. So first of all, let's discuss what the whole Canva interface is

So first of all, here is the header. And in the header, as you can see, we have our design spotlight section

where you're going to see all the designs that Canva brings you

like logo makers, flyers, banners, posters, resume invitation, and the other whatnots

And obviously, you have all these different templates and designs that you can make using Canva

Then if you go in business, you have the business of Canva section, like the use cases, the features, industries, departments, stuff like that

And you have the education section. This is for obviously educational purposes related to schools and stuff like that

And then finally, there's the plans and pricing. Let's go ahead and discuss that

So when it comes to Canvas plans and pricings, as I told you, there are three different plans, the free plan, which is an unlimited plan

You can use it freely for as long as you like. there's the Canva Pro plan, which is obviously the professional plan, which is a hefty $56 per year

And then obviously there's the Canva for Teams, which is the $84 per year

But obviously, this is like however many people you have. Like Canva Pro is for one person only, but Canva for Teams is up to five people

But let's say you want it for 10 people, then obviously the price increases, respectively

Let's say it's 20. You can keep increasing the number of people to all depends on you

The max number of people are 15,000. And for that, obviously, you're going to have to pay up to $800,000 a year

But it totally depends on whether you're a solopreneur, entrepreneur, or maybe you have a full-flesh, large-scale company

It all depends on that. So, yeah, accordingly, you can get these plans if you want to

If you're just a solo person, then I just recommend Canva Pro if you want to buy

the upstaged plan but in the contrary canva free is amazing like it has all the features 250,000

plus free templates 100 plus designs all the tools the canva pro only provides like a few more

templates and a few more designs so yeah it's totally upon you whatever you want so now that

we've discussed that now let's go ahead and discussed this left-hand side that we have here

this is obviously here you can get your templates your projects this is for the can

Pro people but here you can basically get different features. This is your content planner

For example, it's a calendar which basically as we're going to make a digital planner

this is a content planner. Basically you can plan different contents over here. So yeah

these are all the things and obviously this is the Discover app section where you can integrate different apps with Canva if you like. So yeah, these are all the things you have

Now let's discuss how you can get into the main topic of this video and that is of making a digital

planner. So for that, you can do two things. Either you can go up here on create a design or you can go up here where it says what will you design today. So preferably I'd say go on create a design and once you're over here you can write digital planner. And once you write that, you can see here it says planner planner. You have three different things. This is the dimension in centimeter. This is the dimensions in inches and this is like a template for the planner cover. So I'm going to go with

the one in inches so let's open this and this obviously gives you a whole

blank canvas in the dimensions of your digital planner but let's say like I'm

gonna teach you how to make this as well I'm also gonna teach you how to open up

templates for templates you're gonna type planner over here and we're gonna go with

this and look at that you're gonna get tons and tons of these planner

templates and obviously you can choose from these if you want to but

obviously this is just a planner page let's say you don't want a planner page let's say you want a proper

like diary looking planner so for that you can write diary and once you write diary what's going to

happen is look at that it's going to give you this whole diary looking uh template or if you even want

a like more accurate diary looking so what you can do is you can go over here write diary or you can

go and write planner sample you can write that once you write that you're going to go on images and you

can obviously don't exactly copy it but take inspiration from here on how the planner diary actually

looks like so obviously we have a digital planner so we're going to try to make it look as nice

and real as possible this is obviously a real life planner someone that's taken a photo in real life

but yeah this is what your planner is supposed to look like but digitally so and if you want to

take more inspiration what you can do is you can just go on Etsy if you don't know what

Etsy is Etsy is a great store where they sell all these designs digital stuff it's

totally great it's totally amazing and yeah I recommend you do start using it so here we can see

all these things if we go up here and we write planner we can see that people have

posted tons and tons of these different digital planners and you can just take

inspirations from them like see how they actually are like if I click on this one or

It's a pretty nice top selling planner. Look at that, this is how it looks

and it looks pretty nice, a singular page planner. It looks great

So yeah this is what you gonna basically want your planner to look like Again as I said don copy it Just take inspiration from it So I gonna teach you how to make it from scratch

and I'm also gonna teach you how to make it from a template. So I'm just gonna go here, write planner real quick

So here we are, I'm gonna go with this. Now once I do that, obviously it's gonna give me a few templates

So I'm gonna check whatever template seems best to me. So let's go with this one

This one seems pretty decent, seems professional. and it seems pretty attractive

So I'm going to go with this one. Now, once you clicked on it, obviously it's going to open the whole template for you

We're going to increase the aspect ratio. There we are. Now you can start working around with it

So first of all, you're going to see how it looks. If you like the whole dimensions

I'm going to change this. This seems a bit off. So I'm going to make it. I'm going to centralize it

Once I centralize it, now I'm going to bring it here. That, in my opinion, looks

There we go. Yeah, that in my opinion. It looks much better when I centralized it

You can also mess around with the color like if you click in the background over here like that

I'm gonna go here and you can mess with a color like change the color to whatever you want

I recommend just keep it to whatever like the template has because the template obviously chooses the best most warm

Attractive color You can change the texts and the fonts though like let's see you don't want to name a daily planner

You want to name a weekly planner so there we go you can put in weekly

planner there we go and add in that and then you can start messing around with different things as

well so healthy and fitness okay that's fine breakfast lunch dinner my goal today i'm grateful or you can write

this week i was grateful for yeah see you know just make it better according to whatever you

change it to must do this week appointments schedule and to do schedules and inspirations so yeah you can or

let's say if it's a weekly planner then breakfast lunch dinner doesn't make sense you can change this to maybe

let's change it to or you know what it's fine like you can put in all the breakfasts lunches and dinners

you had in the corresponding week you can add those things in and yeah then from there and out you can

start like if you want to mess around with more things you can't just do that like if you want these

boxes let's change the color of these bodies if you want them to be black so there we go now they're

black so again you can go on more of these colors make the boxes black if you want to uh because like

if you think the black looks better you can just make it better totally upon you can also

mess around with the border spacings and again make it look black the border

there we go you can do the same with this and to obviously copy the settings all you need to do is you're

going to go here and copy this and you're going to paste it here look at that so again you're going to

click on the box you want to copy take this roller tool click on the box you want to copy paste again

roller tool click on the box paste so yeah that is how you basically copy the style of some box let's

say now this is basically what you work around with and yeah that's pretty much it that's how like

It's very easy to create a digital planner out of a template

Like all you need to do is just change a few things. Apart from that, the whole digital planner is already created there for you

Like they've already made it very attractive and just looks amazing. So yeah, that's how you create a digital planner out of the templates we have

But now let's talk about how you can create it from scratch

So before going into that, to export your planner, all you need to do is you're going to click on

share and once you click on share you're going to go on download down here you're going to click on

that and obviously depends on you whether you want to export it in p and g or pdf i recommend exporting

it in pdf standard for like a planner because obviously a person will want to edit it as a pdf not a p and

you're going to do that i'm going to click on download now let's wait for it to download it takes only a few

seconds and there we go and if we open it look at that looks amazing looks great

Looks really neat really attractive and I love it like if I were to send this to someone

They would appreciate it as well and yeah they're probably used it as their weekly planner

Because it looks great looks amazing now furthermore let's go ahead and discuss on how you can start from scratch

Now this part is a bit tricky and to obviously get into this I'm gonna need to explain all the features and tools that canva brings you and because obviously without that you will not know how to

start from scratch. So first of all, let's discuss this blank canvas that we have

So this is your blank canvas. Obviously over here, you're going to do all your designs

Now to change, like the only setting you can do on your blank canvas

is change its background color. And for that, all you need to do is you're going to click on it

Come here. And yeah, there you go. You can change the color from here if you want to

So let's say I'm going to keep a very neutral color for this planner

I'm going to go with a lot of. light blue or you know what let's go a bit lighter let's go as light as we can there we go a tad more

yeah there we go so i'm going to keep that like very hazel light blue color now let's discuss about

rulers like you're going to need to know how rulers work and how you're going to use it to create

a planner for yourself and for that you're going to go on file and once you go on file you have all

these different things like create new design import file save to folder stuff like this

We're going to ignore this right now. We're going to go in view settings and we're going to come to show rulers and guides

And yeah, basically we're going to use these to centralize our things

So there we go. We're going to bring this here. There we go

I'm going to bring this here. There we go. And finally, there we go

So basically what we're going to do is we're going to bring our header in this section

We're going to keep our content in this section. And in this left hand side and right hand side, we're going to have our small bullet points

or maybe, you know, small cards that we want to work around with

So let's get straight into it. So first of all, before getting into it, we're going to talk about all these different things

that you see on the left-hand side of your screen. So this first thing, this design bit, is obviously your template section

in your template section, you have all the different templates that Canva provides you for your

obviously planners. And you can take inspiration from these if you want to, again, like look at all

these great templates. They look amazing. And again, take inspiration. Don't copy them. Take inspiration

Then if we go in elements, we can see all different elements, vector images, P&Gs, and stuff like that

Now, in elements, you can get different things. As I said, you can get lines and shapes, different graphics, stickers, gifts, photos, videos, charts, if you want to add them, tables, frames, grids, and more like vector small images

Now, obviously, I'm going to talk in detail on how elements can make your planner or whatever design you're making look much better than it already

So first of all, then we go to uploads. And this upload section is a section where you can upload data from your computer or your laptop like your own data Just go and upload files Then you going to upload a random file As you can see these are random files that I uploaded myself Like let say I going to go with some random there we go so this is a random PNG that I

Downloaded on my PC. I just uploaded it there you go and out now I can just drag it here and look at that

So now I have a PNG that I just dragged in myself over here

So that's pretty basic pretty easy and it's pretty nice to work with

So then there's your text panel and in the text panel as you can see

We have all the different texts and fonts So in the font section you can add different like just click on out of text box and there you go

You have a text box But you can also add like different variations like if you want to add a heading

If you want to add a subheading if you want to add a little body of text

Or if you just directly want to add one of these amazing fonts and as you can see these

These fonts, they have different features to them. Like this one glows, this one looks like this, this one sparkles

Every font has its own quality. Every font has its own feature

So you can work around with this if you want to, and it's totally fun and free

So what you're going to want to do to get any one of these, just like, let's go

I'm going to click on this and look at that. It's been exported over here and it looks great

It looks amazing. You can also like add stuff down here. make it look much better than if you go on this font look at that this font looks amazing as well

you can just keep adding more things if you want to so yeah that's what the text section does it gives

you amazing fonts to work around with then we have the project section and in the project section

as you can see you have previous projects of yours that you can work around with uh and then there's

the app section and in the app section you have different apps that you can integrate your canva with

and just make your work much easier and much better. So now that we've discussed all the features

now let's go ahead and make ourselves a planner. Now, for the planner, first of all, we have to make a header

and for the header, we're going to write our text, and make sure our text is, because obviously we need a heading

we're going to go and add a heading. We're going to add it here, make it a bit smaller

fit it into the section. There we go. And then I'm going to make it come in the center

There we go. And as I told you up here, you have all these settings like you can change your font size

You can change your font type. Like let's say I'm going to go with this one

So look at that. And now I'm going to write daily planner

I'm going to write that. Make sure it's in the middle. You can change if it's bold or not

It depends on you. I'm going to not make it bold. And I'm going to make it italicized, you know, just to give it that nice touch

I'm going to underline it. And yeah, there we go. So that's my daily planner text

Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to start making my foundation. And what the foundation is going to be is different events or tasks or topics that I want to give to my planner

So first of all, let's go subheading. And I'm going to go with, let's say, let's go with schedule

Let's write schedule. And we're going to bring it here. Again, I'm going to decrease the font

There we go and once my font is decreased. I bring it here and go to

fonts change it over here make sure that it's not bold There we go. It's not bold. I'm gonna make sure this text is bold because

I would just make it look much better. There we go make it bold and yeah, so now

We're gonna go there's schedule and now in schedule what we're gonna do is we're gonna add our schedule blocks and

And for that, what we're gonna do is we're gonna add a little body of text

Or what you can do is you're gonna obviously add lines. And for lines, you're gonna go on elements

You're gonna click on paragraph lines, or you're gonna write something like that

And once you write that, make sure to find a good paragraph for lines

Or you can just go ahead and write lines if you want to, like write lines

And you're gonna find the best set of lines. I'm gonna go with this one

This looks best and I'm gonna bring it right here. There we go

Make sure it matches well. Then you're gonna copy it and paste it, bring it down

We go, align it with the text. Again, copy it, paste it, bring it down

Make sure it's aligned. There we go, I think that's aligned. Then again, copy it, bring it down

And yeah, there we go. Aligned, yeah. So make sure all the texts and lines are aligned

and looks good enough. I think it does. Align all the text, align all the lines, stuff like that

And yeah, basically, then what you're gonna wanna do is obviously as I said, in the left and right hand side

we're gonna add our bullet points. And for that, what we're gonna do is we're gonna come here

and we're gonna write a bullet points. You're gonna write that and you're gonna wait

it to give you some elements or you can just write dot and once you write dot look at that it gives

you a dot like that you're going to choose any of it you're going to make it smaller and you're

probably wondering that the color is off don't worry i'm going to fix that for you as well do not worry

i'm going to make it smaller i'm going to add it over here there we go so yeah there we are

i'm going to change its color to whatever you want again just go on the top left change its color

and you can change it to gray, white, or whatever you want

I'm going to change it to a white, copy it, paste it, bring it down here, there we go

then again, paste it, and I'm going to bring it down here, again, paste it, and bring it down here

There we go. So that is how you're going to add yourself some bullet points

Now where you're going to want to do is you can also like maybe take the bullet points a bit back

Like it's not necessary to join them right with your text. So yeah, you can make it look like that

Now what we're gonna want to do is we're gonna add some sticky notes to make, you know

make it look a bit fun, make it look a bit nice. So let's go with sticky notes

I'm gonna go with this, okay? I'm gonna go with this and make sure that it's, there we go

And once you add it, give it a bit up. There we go. I'm gonna add another sticky note right under it

There we go, it's perfectly aligned. You can change the color of like obviously make sure to match it with your background color

of your page. So where we're gonna wanna do is make sure whatever color matches your page

So I think green will match best with this type of color in the background or, you

A lighter green. So yeah, a mustardish, yellowish green will match better

And I'm gonna go on this. I'm gonna give it some other color

Let's say I'm gonna go with a pinkish vibe. Yeah, that looks nice

And we can do more is, let's say, you can add like these little tape things up here

Or you can add them down here to like, you know, maybe write some note on or something like that

I'm gonna go on this brown and I'm gonna make it into a light brown or maybe this could be give them any color

It totally depends on you I gonna go in this purple I give it a nice Lylac lavender looking purple You can make it smaller bigger if you want to then you can add more things like first of all obviously the most thing important thing that I forgot to add are your days

So if I write days and elements if you can find something that says you know obviously Monday Tuesday Wednesday

or Friday that's perfect but you can just go over here right Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Thursday Friday Friday

Saturday and Sunday. There you go. You can add it like that and just bring it here and align it to this

And then obviously according to these, you can make rows if you want to

And for that, obviously, you're going to come here. You can write rows

And if you can find obviously any free row creator, you can just add them over here

And, you know, make your template look much, much better, much nicer, and much more attractive

So what you can do, on the contrary, is right here, rectangle

Now, once you write rectangle, you're going to get all these graphics, lines and shapes, and stuff like that

So what I'm going to do is over here is I'm going to add a square. Once you add a square, you're going to bring it in front of this right here

And then you're going to make it into a rectangle. There we go. So make sure it's of the length of that

There we go. again make it a bit bigger there we have it and then you're gonna go into the color section

from here on out you can change the color to whatever you want there we go that's a nice color

vibe and from there on out you can add your schedules you can add more bullet points if you want to

in this so let's say i'm gonna do that i'm gonna bring it here i'm gonna change the color of this to this

and there we go so let me just position this correctly yeah there we have it and then you can just

keep on adding more bullet points just to you know make your design look much better obviously you're

doing all this to make your design look better so yeah just keep on doing that keep on doing this stuff

to obviously get the best outcome as you can so I'm going to just align it to the best of my ability

there we are and there we are again I'm gonna add this bring it up here add one more

bring it up here so yeah just keep on doing stuff like this to make your design

attractive and obviously the main goal over here is to make the customer that

maybe sees your digital planner or you know is attracted to it and they are eager to buy

it because they just can't resist it. So obviously this isn't the greatest looking planner

but you get the point on why you're supposed to do this. Now, once you've done these things

remove the rulers and guiders just to, now as we can see, it's a bit empty, so we're going to fill

it up. Now, to fill it up, we're going to use all the other elements that we can get. So let's

you know what, let's add, you know, some nice stars. And I'm not saying to just add it like that

you're going to make them, you know, you're going to blend them into the design, basically

So we're going to bring this here. And once it's perfectly positioned, what we're going to do is we're going to go to the transparency

And look at that. We're going to make them a bit translucent. And you can also go with more things like this over here

You can go to its settings. and you obviously increase this. We're going to send it backward

There we go. And then you're going to go with the transparency and just make it, you know, transparent

make it look much better. Again, I'm going to send it backward. And look at that

Looks a bit messy, looks a bit nice. And I give us your thing a very friendly vibe

You can also add different confetties. Like I'm going to add this as well

Just bring this here, bring this there. and all you need to do is you're going to click on sent to back again go on transparency

mess around with this transparency like this and yeah just make your page look a whole lot better

again if you see any empty corners just start adding elements like maybe again stars you can add more

stars if you want to i'm going to make this a bit smaller bring it here take the opacity take it down

like that then in the bottom left you can add more stuff if you want to again more

Stars, here you go. Bring it here, send it back, Insparency, and there we are. So yeah, this is how you

make your planner more full, more better, and much nicer. And once you have done all of this

and once you like what you have created at the end, what you're going to want to do is just finally

go on Share. And once you go on Share, you're just going to go on Download. And once you have gone

on download, all you're going to need to do now is just go on FileType. And from

file type obviously it depends on whatever type of file you want to export it could be png

pdf jpg whatever you want but in my opinion as i told you pdf standard would be best for a planner

and once you've chosen that all you're going to do is you're going to click on download and once you

have clicked on download there you can see it's been downloaded and added and there we are this is

our digital planner looks pretty decent pretty like could be better but uh you know it looks pretty

decent. This is how you basically create it for yourself. And this is all the features that you can

mess around when it comes to creating a planner. Now, once you have created a planner, how can you

like basically what places can you sell a digital planner? So let me tell you that as well. So one of the

few places that you can sell your digital planners are places like Etsy or maybe places like, you know

some Amazon store, even Amazon stores have it, like, you know, those Kindle spaces, people

buy it over there a lot. So those are some great places that you can sell these designs of yours

So yeah, basically that is about it. Like even if you go in the Etsy design section

let me show you how much money people actually make for making digital planners like if I write

planner over here. And we're just going to wait for it to load up real quick and look at all these

planners and look at how many people actually, like, look at the price

It's once for $45. It's $13.13. You have all these different price ranges, $14, $4, $6

Like, the price range is amazing. And we can see that tons and tons of people actually go ahead and buy these, which is crazy

So, yeah, this is your whole digital planner widget. And, yeah, this is how you work around with your

main digital planner. And as I said, Etsy is the best marketplace to sell it because a lot of people

do actually buy it here and many users, as you can see, make a lot of money. So yeah, this is where

you can export your digital planner to and work around with more. So yeah, that was basically the
