Are you looking to create tournament brackets for your classroom that look like this? This
0:07
Or this? Well, I'm going to show you an easy way to do this with PowerPoint and Google Slides
0:13
by using a template from SlidesMania. But before I do that, I would love it if you could consider subscribing to my YouTube channel
0:22
where each week I'll be uploading videos on a variety of topics that I think you'll find to be helpful
0:28
So thanks for the consideration, and now let's talk about brackets. Whether you have the recent March Madness Fever or you're just looking for a way to create an engaging lesson
0:38
the website SlidesMania has several amazing templates that you can use that will allow you to create a bracket challenge that looks like this
0:47
The first thing you'll need to do is to go to SlidesMania and open their education bundles
0:51
The link is in the description, but it's also on the screen as well
0:55
So you can choose any of these education bundles as you can see from the description
1:00
At the top of the page, all of these bundles include a number of different activities, including the bracket challenge
1:06
So to see what your bracket challenge looks like, just click on one of these bundles
1:11
scroll to the bottom, and the bracket challenge will be all the way at the end of the presentation
1:19
Here's this one. Now you have two choices in terms of editing this
1:23
You can either click on this button and upload in Google Slides
1:27
or you can click the PowerPoint button to download a PowerPoint file of this education bundle
1:33
There we go. My presentation has been downloaded. Now that this is opened, I can scroll all the way to the end
1:38
I can open my bracket challenge, and I can go in and modify all of the individual spaces on the bracket
1:46
It works the same way with Google Slides. If you click the button that says Open with Slides, there's a template right over here at the top of the screen that you can click on
1:54
that will force a copy into your Google Drive, where you again can go to the end of the presentation
2:00
and modify all of the individual selections. And that's it. And if you download one of these bundles, I would definitely recommend you checking out some of the other things that are inside
2:11
There's a lot of great content inside each of these presentations that SlidesMania makes available for educators for free
2:17
So check it out at SlidesMania.com. Thanks for watching this video about creating your own bracket challenge
2:25
I hope that this was helpful. On the screen, I'm going to leave you with a few other videos that you might enjoy
