In this video, I'm going to show you how to cast your Android phone to your TV
0:05
So we're going to do this using the Google Home app, but you'll just have to make sure
0:10
that your Android TV has Chromecast built in. So here I have the Mi TV with me and this has
0:18
Chromecast, but these days, most of the other companies as well, they have Chromecast in the
0:23
Android TV. So if yours does, then this method will work for you and in the next couple of minutes
0:30
you'll be able to cast your Android phone to your TV. So let's get started. The very first step is
0:37
to ensure that your phone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. So if you do have a
0:43
local Wi-Fi, then you can connect your TV to that or else switch on your mobile hotspot and you can
0:50
connect your TV to that and both of these methods will work. So I have a Wi-Fi network and I'll show
0:56
you how to connect to it. First, go to settings in your TV, then in network and internet, click on it
1:05
and you'll see all of the available Wi-Fi networks and now just make sure that your phone and TV
1:12
are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. So my TV is connected to this one, Incredible 2
1:20
and now I'll show it to you on my phone. Here on my phone as well, it's connected to Incredible 2
1:28
So now there's only one thing left to do and that's install the Google Home app and cast our
1:34
screen from our phone to our TV. So if you don't have the app already installed, go to the Play
1:40
Store and search for Google Home. So this is how the app looks and just install it. Then once it's
1:52
installed, just open it and you may have to log in to your Google account, but after that at the
1:58
bottom, you'll see all the different pages and you'll have to select devices. That's the second
2:04
page and here as you can see under local devices, Mi TV has already come here. So it has detected
2:13
the TV because they're connected to the same Wi-Fi network. So I'll click on it now. Then if you want
2:21
to save the TV for next time, click on add to room or if you just want to cast it, click on cast my
2:27
screen, which is here. Then click on cast screen and here you'll have to give permission to record
2:36
and then click on start now. And now as you can see, my Android phone is getting casted to my TV
2:44
So this is basically how it works. You can open any app on your phone and the same thing will
2:50
come on your TV. So if you want to open photos, go to Google Chrome or anything, it will work
2:57
And there's one thing that you need to know and that's how to disconnect your phone. To do this
3:03
go to the Google Home app and here just click on stop mirroring. And now as you can see
3:10
the mirroring has stopped. So this is how it works. And if you want to know how to transfer
3:16
files between your phone and laptop, check out this video that's here. That's it for today. Goodbye
