how you can launch your Wix website. So let's get into it. Now, launching your Wix website can seem

a bit overwhelming, especially with all of the customization and things that you can do with Wix

but let's break it down into the basics of website building. So to get started, I have logged on to

my Wix account and I'm going to click on create a new site and we are going to build a very basic

site that we can further customize later on and I'll show you guys step by step how you can launch

your website. So to get started, you have two options. You can go with the template or blank

canvas. I want a template to get started with because that's usually the easiest route

Secondarily, you have to choose what type of template you want. So for us, I want this to be

an e-commerce store so I can go into feature and I can go into stores and this will show me all of

the different e-commerce based templates that they have. I think I really like this template

but let's browse ahead and take a look at some of the other ones as well. So I think I'm going to

proceed with this one and I will click on edit over here to get started with editing our template

So this is going to load up your Wix template and you can edit it step by step. So some of the

essential or pivotal elements would include your logo, your color schemes, all of that needs to be

pre-decided. So you can go into Canva if you don't have a logo already while your theme or template

is loading up and you can go into Canva over here and just search for logo if you don't have one

already and you can pick out any logo that you like. So let's say I want to pick up this one

and I can just customize this however I want. I'll just write Jordan clothing and then you can click

on download over here and that is like one thing out of the way. So once you have loaded up your

template you will see your entire template like this and this is going to be a desktop view

On the left you have your insertion tool so you can click on this plus icon and then you can add

any new element that you want to incorporate into this template. Then you have the layers of this

particular page, then the total site pages that this particular template has, the global sections

so the sections that are added throughout the website such as your header and your footer

Then you also have the typography styles, then you have your app manager, your CMS, and then you have

some basic code. So the first thing I like to do is go into typography and you will see your

typography over here which is going to be the standard fonts that are applied throughout the

website. So instead of having to edit the fonts over and over again you can edit them over here

and this will globally change the overall font appearance. So anything that's a level six heading

let's say I want this to be anything that's a level six heading would be in this font and I can

click on apply and this would change all level six headings. Now other than that you also have

your global colors so you have you know different color schemes applied you can pick out the one that

fits the most and you can choose the color ranges and these are the ones that are currently applied

So you have the background and text, you have the action colors, and the other colors. Let's say in

the action colors I want them all to be maybe slightly more reddish so I can open up the color

wheel from here and I'll go in a more brighter hue of red like this and then let's say I want to pick

out these shades of red. I'll go into more brighter reds like this like so you know you can change it

however you want but I'm just going to alter the colors a little so you guys can see the changes

like this. I'll just click on apply and you know you can customize the colors accordingly to your

brand. Now once we've done that we can go into our actual website and on the right you will have an

inspector so you can click on any element and open up the inspector to see the overall responsive

behavior, the layout, and the background and positioning of that particular section. Now to

get started I'm going to remove the logo from here and what I'm going to do is I want to insert

my image based logo. So to do that I would click on add elements from the top left and we will click

on image and then we are going to resize your image a little like so and then you're going to

attach it to the header. Once you've done that you're going to click on change image and once

you click on change image you can click on upload media and upload from your computer

and I'm just going to take this image from here and I'm just going to upload that into our library

Now I'm going to click on update now you can even cut out the background with dirtin so

let's say I want to auto cut out like this and I'll click on save and this will you know cut

out any of the background of your logos if you already have you know a background within your

header. So now I'm going to change the size a little and just place that right at the center

Now once we have that we will see an image in the background I can click on change image to

change this image and we have some lines over here so I'm going to change up the text in this

So to do that just click on the text and you will see once you click on the text you can do a double

click on the text to select it and then you can just re-type it so as you guys can see this is

actually a level six heading so it's displaying the new font that we had just selected. So I am

going to add that out here with the layers styles and pen tone color of the here like this now below

that we have the next section which is a few images which we can also replace we have a few more text

lines now this is just one page from the top left you can select the other pages of your particular

website so I can go into the top section over here and go into the about page and then from there I

can start you know removing the template information and adding my own information

Now if there is something you want to remove a section you don't necessarily need just click on

the section and then click on delete that will remove that section plus if you don't necessarily

need so many pages for your store you can click on manage pages over here and you can remove any

pages that are not necessary. So for us let's say I don't want to put an about page I can delete the

about page like this and just like that the about page has been deleted. Now once you have finished

up with your edits just click on over here on the top right to publish your site but before you get

into publishing if you're uncertain you can click on preview over here to see what your website is

going to look like this is going to be a desktop preview and then you can choose a different device

as well. Once you're satisfied just click on publish on the top right and then you can choose

a free domain with Wix or connect your own customized domain. I'm just going to connect a

free domain with Wix and then click on save and continue and just like that we have launched our
