US, Phoenix: Phoenix One Dead One Critical In 51st Avenue Motorcycle Crash.

Phoenix, United States - August 15, 2026 08/15/2026 01:45 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police and Phoenix fire crews responded to the area of 51st Avenue and Watkins Street for reports of a motorcycle collision involving two riders. According to Phoenix police at the scene, one rider was pronounced deceased at the scene and a second rider was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition with CPR in progress. The involved riders have yet to be identified. Officers were unable to confirm if both riders were from the same motorcycle or separate motorcycles. Two motorcycles were seen in the roadway near the deceased rider. A white Kia Soul with significant driver-side damage was seen stopped in the northbound lanes, north of the deceased rider. A white pickup truck was also seen stopped within the scene. The extent of the pickup truck's involvement has yet to be confirmed. A hard closure was established for 51st Avenue, and the Phoenix Police Vehicular Crimes Unit detectives have assumed command of the investigation.
