US, Phoenix: Phoenix Bell Road Serious Collision Requiring Extrication.

Phoenix, United States - September 05, 2026 09/05/2026 01:23 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police and Phoenix fire crews responded to the area of 11th Avenue and Bell Road for reports of a serious two-vehicle traffic collision with a trapped occupant. According to Phoenix police at the scene, officers arrived to find a collision involving a sedan and an SUV. The driver of the sedan was found trapped inside the vehicle and the involved SUV was found flipped onto its side. The driver of the flipped SUV was able to self-extricate. Firefighters utilized mechanical extrication equipment to cut the driver of the sedan out of the vehicle. The driver of the sedan was then transported to a local trauma center with critical injuries. A second patient was transported to a local trauma center in stable condition. A hard closure was established for Bell Road while the Phoenix Police Department's Vehicular Crimes Unit detectives investigated the collision.
