US, Phoenix: Phoenix Union Hills Drive Collision Requiring Extrication.

Phoenix, United States - May 24, 2026 05/23/2026 10:44 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a crash with at least one occupant trapped at the intersection of Union Hills Drive and 19th Avenue. Crews arrived to find a collision involving two sedans and a pickup truck. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, the driver of a gray Toyota Corolla rear-ended a pickup truck at the intersection. A Nissan sedan was also struck but sustained minor damage. The driver of the Corolla was found trapped inside the vehicle following the collision. Firefighters utilized mechanical extrication equipment to cut the trapped driver out of the vehicle. The driver was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries. The conditions of the occupants from the other vehicles involved have yet to be confirmed. Impairment is being investigated as a possible contributing factor in the collision.
