US, Los Angeles: Pico-Union Traffic Collision Involving Waymo Vehicle.

Los Angeles, United States - July 26, 2026 07/26/2026 05:44 am GMT-0700 PICO-UNION, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Union Avenue and Venice Boulevard. Upon arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department found a two-vehicle collision involving a Waymo self-driving vehicle and a blue sedan occupied by a male, female, and an infant. The occupants of the sedan were treated by medical staff and cleared from the scene. Additionally, a female patient in a wheelchair who was involved in the collision was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Reports indicated a possible “K injury” was also noted. Another patient inside the Waymo was transported in stable condition to a local hospital. Investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division have been called to the scene, and the investigation is currently underway.
