US, Los Angeles: Downtown Los Angeles LAPD Vehicle Catches Fire in Pursuit Crash Part 1.

Los Angeles, United States - June 25, 2026 06/25/2026 04:06 am GMT-0700 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police units were involved in a pursuit of a U-Haul truck wanted for assault with a deadly weapon when the pursuing unit was involved in a collision with the truck at the intersection of 16th Street and Santee Street. Two officers in the patrol vehicle requested the Los Angeles Fire Department and were evaluated at the scene. Shortly after the crash, the Los Angeles Police Department patrol vehicle caught fire. Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department extinguished the blaze. The suspect was apprehended in the area of 23rd Street and Los Angeles Street.
