US, Los Angeles: Exposition Park Takeover Vehicle Crashes During Pursuit.

Los Angeles, United States - August 22, 2026 08/22/2026 03:01 am GMT-0700 EXPOSITION PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police pursued a vehicle believed to have been involved in a street takeover before it crashed near South Western Avenue and West 38th Place early Saturday. A police helicopter monitored the pursuit from overhead as officers followed the vehicle through the area. The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed near the intersection. Two people reportedly fled from the vehicle on foot following the crash. It was not immediately known whether anyone was injured or whether either individual had been taken into custody. The circumstances surrounding the takeover and pursuit remain under investigation.
