US, Los Angeles: Downtown LA Man Shot Police Search For Shooter.

Los Angeles, United States - August 08, 2026 08/08/2026 01:16 am GMT-0700 Downtown LA – One person was hospitalized after a shooting early Saturday in the 1600 block of East 15th Street. Los Angeles police responded shortly after 1 a.m. and located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, a man, according to witnesses, was transported to a hospital in unknown condition, according to initial reports. During the investigation, officers received information indicating the suspected shooter may have still been in the area, possibly near or inside several recreational vehicles. Police initiated a tactical response and began making callouts in an attempt to locate the suspect. It was not immediately known whether anyone was taken into custody or whether the suspect was ultimately located. A crime scene was established as officers continued investigating the shooting.
