US, Los Angeles: Vermont-Slauson Reported Multiple Shot Near Elderly Home.

Los Angeles, United States - September 21, 2026 09/21/2026 10:30 am GMT-0700 VERMONT-SLAUSON, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Three people were hospitalized following a shooting at a large building in South Los Angeles on Monday morning. A suspect was taken into custody. The shooting was reported at approximately 10:50 a.m. near 70th Street and Denver Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department. The address police appear to be investigating comes back to Progressive Home for the Elderly, located at 7010 S Denver Avenue. The victims, two females and one male, were transported to a hospital. Their ages and conditions remain unknown. Los Angeles Police Department officers were seen on the roof of a large red-and-brown building as police secured the surrounding area and established a crime scene. It remains unclear whether the suspect was ever on the roof. Authorities have not released information about the suspect or a possible motive. The investigation is ongoing.
