US, Los Angeles: Westlake Suspect Barricades in Apartment After Attack.

Los Angeles, United States - June 08, 2026 06/07/2026 07:08 pm GMT-0700 WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department Olympic Division responded to a report of a male armed with a knife and a firearm, reportedly wearing an alcohol bottle with a rag, attempting to kick in the front door of a property in the 3300 block of Beverly Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers learned the suspect had set the alcohol bottle on fire and thrown it at the front door of the residence. The suspect, described as approximately 30 years old and dressed in all black, was reported to be in unit 413 on the fourth floor of the building. By the time officers responded, the suspect was no longer in front of the property, but screaming was heard from the fourth floor. LAPD SWAT was deployed to the scene for further assistance.
