US, Phoenix: Phoenix Motel 6 Shooting With Possible Barricade Situation.

Phoenix, United States - May 14, 2026 05/14/2026 02:18 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to the area of 24th Drive and Thomas Road for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male gunshot victim at the Motel 6 on the southwest corner of the above cross street. Officers loaded the victim into a patrol vehicle and extracted him off of the property. Officers transported the victim to firefighters who were staged in a nearby parking lot, away from the active scene. The victim was transported to a local trauma center in unknown condition. Additional officers responded to the Motel 6 and converged on a row of hotel rooms located on the east end of the property. Officers were seen evacuating several units on the first and second floor of the involved building. Several commands were issued, directed at a motel room on the second floor. Officers were heard ordering a suspect to exit the motel room and surrender to officers. An officer at the scene confirmed that the situation is related to the initial shooting investigation.
