US, Los Angeles: Northridge Stabbing Suspect Barricades in SWAT Standoff.

Los Angeles, United States - June 19, 2026 06/19/2026 02:00 am GMT-0700 NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A suspect in a stabbing incident is believed to have barricaded himself after attacking a family member on the 10000 block of Wystone Avenue. The Metro Special Weapons and Tactics division, along with K-9 units and the Los Angeles Fire Department, is on the scene. An accessory dwelling unit (ADU) situated behind the home where the suspect is located has prompted law enforcement to instruct the residents to shelter in place. The residents were advised that leaving the premises would require passing by the suspect. Currently, Special Weapons and Tactics teams are attempting to locate the suspect. Streets surrounding the residence have been closed, and nearby homes have been evacuated.
