US, Phoenix: Phoenix Suspect In Custody After Firing Shots At Police Officers.

Phoenix, United States - September 12, 2026 09/12/2026 01:05 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to Phoenix police at the scene, a suspect is in custody after firing multiple shots at officers during a barricade situation. The suspect was barricaded inside a hotel room located on the third floor of the Studio 51 Extended Stay Hotel. Officers surrounded the hotel and issued several commands ordering the suspect to exit the room. The suspect refused to exit the room and began firing shots at officers. Officers did not return fire as they did not have a clear line of sight on the suspect inside the room. Additional resources responded to the scene, and additional commands were issued. The suspect remained barricaded for some time but eventually complied with commands and exited the hotel room. He was taken into custody without further incident. No officers were struck during the incident. Phoenix police detectives are investigating the incident.
