Lancaster Deputy Involved Shooting Erupts Outside Assisted Living Facility For Laura.

September 07, 2026 09/07/2026 09:53 am GMT-0700 Lancaster – 09/07/2026 09:53 am GMT-0700 LANCASTER, Calif. – At approximately 9:53 a.m., deputies responded to 15th Street West and Avenue J after reports of an armed man allegedly attempting to force his ex-girlfriend into a vehicle at Leisure Gardens. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, the suspect fired shots and deputies returned fire. The suspect was taken into custody. Blood was observed at the scene; however, it is currently unknown who was struck or injured. Fire Department personnel responded, and 15th Street West was blocked as the investigation continued.
