US, Phoenix: Phoenix 16th Street Hit-And-Run Pedestrian Crash.

Phoenix, United States - August 15, 2026 08/14/2026 09:40 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Officers with the Phoenix Police Department and firefighters with the Phoenix Fire Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on 16th Street just north of the Southern Avenue intersection at 9:40 p.m. Friday. Emergency crews arrived and located one unidentified victim who had been hit by a vehicle. The victim was transported to a local area hospital by Phoenix firefighters in unknown condition. According to an officer at the scene, the vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not remain at the scene of the traffic collision. Police closed 16th Street in both directions, just north of the intersection, as they investigated the crash.
