According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, an unidentified pedestrian was struck by a Chevy SUV. The pedestrian was transported to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries. The involved driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with officers. A hard closure was established for 24th Street, spanning from Monte Vista Road to Oak Street.
