US, Phoenix: Phoenix 48th Street Car vs Motorcycle Crash.

Phoenix, United States - May 09, 2026 05/08/2026 08:40 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Phoenix Fire Department and the Phoenix Police Department responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle at the intersection of 48th Street and Vineyard Road at approximately 8:40 p.m. Friday. Firefighters and officers arrived at the scene and located a motorcyclist who had collided with a passenger car before crashing into a cinderblock wall at a high rate of speed. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, the rider was rushed to a local trauma hospital with serious injuries. Officers closed 48th Street between Darrel Road and Apollo Road as detectives from the Phoenix Police Department's Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to the scene to investigate the collision.
