US, Phoenix: Phoenix Trooper Among 3 Hospitalized In DPS Involved Crash.

Phoenix, United States - July 01, 2026 07/01/2026 03:40 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers and fire crews from the cities of Phoenix and Tolleson responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a DPS patrol vehicle on 83rd Avenue south of Interstate 10. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, the involved trooper was responding to a call for service in the area. The trooper was entering the 83rd Avenue intersection from Interstate 10 with lights and siren activated in a marked Chevy Camaro patrol vehicle when a collision occurred with a white passenger SUV. Two occupants from the white SUV were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The involved DPS trooper was transported to a local hospital for precautionary evaluation with minor injuries.
