US, Bakersfield: Phoenix SR-51 Trooper Involved Collision.

Bakersfield, United States - September 09, 2026 09/09/2026 01:15 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to Arizona Department of Public Safety officials at the scene, DPS troopers and Phoenix fire crews responded to reports of a collision involving a DPS patrol vehicle in the southbound lanes of the SR-51 near Highland Avenue. A marked DPS Ford F150 was providing traffic control for an ongoing construction project in the leftmost lanes of the southbound SR-51 when it was involved in a collision with a southbound Hyundai SUV. Phoenix fire crews arrived at the scene and evaluated the involved trooper and the driver of the Hyundai. Both refused hospitalization.
