US, Phoenix: Tempe Woman In Critical Condition After Hit-And-Run Pedestrian Crash.

Phoenix, United States - September 05, 2026 09/04/2026 10:41 pm GMT-0700 TEMPE, Ariz. – The Tempe Police Department, along with firefighters from the cities of Phoenix and Tempe, responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Baseline Road at the intersection of Calle Los Cerros Drive around 10:40 p.m. Friday. Tempe Police arrived and located an unresponsive woman lying in the westbound lanes of Baseline Road, just west of the intersection. According to Tempe Police Department officials at the scene, the vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene of the traffic collision. The woman was transported in extremely critical condition to a local area trauma hospital by fire department personnel. Tempe Police closed Baseline Road between 48th Street and Arizona Grand Parkway as they investigated the traffic collision.
