US, Los Angeles: Sherman Oaks Police Respond to Burglary with Armed Suspect.

Los Angeles, United States - July 16, 2026 07/15/2026 11:00 PM GMT-0700 SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department responded to a reported burglary in progress on the 13000 block of Ostego Street. The homeowner observed a suspect armed with a gun on the property, according to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene. Upon arrival, officers cleared the home but found that the suspect had fled the scene in a black Cadillac SUV. An airship searched the area for the vehicle but was unable to locate it. Additionally, a surveillance camera was found torn off its post and was seen being held by a police officer. The family was home at the time, including a child, but no injuries were reported.
