US, Los Angeles: Pico Rivera CHP Pursuit of Murder Suspects Ends on 710 fwy Gun Found Part 2.

Los Angeles, United States - June 26, 2026 06/26/2026 03:30 am GMT-0700 PICO RIVERA, Calif. – During a California Highway Patrol (CHP) pursuit, suspects drove southbound on the 605 Freeway, exiting at Beverly Boulevard. The suspects then entered a commercial business area, reaching a dead end at Beverly Road before turning around and heading back north on Beverly Boulevard. As the suspects turned around, they discarded a firearm, which was later recovered by one of the businesses that was preparing to open. The business is located at 9606 Beverly Road in Pico Rivera. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers from Santa Fe Springs arrived at the scene and found the firearm in the parking lot of the business. They stood by for Santa Monica Police Department officers to recover the weapon believed to be used in an armed robbery and murder in Santa Monica. Santa Monica detectives arrived at the scene around 5:30 a.m. to collect the weapon. The suspects led Baldwin Park CHP and multiple agencies on a one-hour pursuit through various cities and freeways. Both suspects were ultimately taken into custody on the southbound 710 Freeway just before the 60 Freeway in East Los Angeles.
