Los Angeles, United States - August 07, 2026 08/06/2026 10:21 pm GMT-0700 LA Canada Flintridge – A vehicle went over the railing and crashed down a mountainside on Angeles Crest Highway, leaving the driver pronounced dead at the scene. Multiple passengers were trapped inside the vehicle, prompting first responders to extricate the individuals. Agencies including the Pasadena Fire Department, Glendale Fire Department, Montrose Fire Department, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the traffic collision. During the rescue operation, one first responder injured his knee, requiring an additional hoist basket to bring him up from the hillside. The condition of the passengers who were transported to the hospital remains unknown, and the cause of the crash is under investigation. The highway was closed in both directions due to the incident. The deceased driver was also hoisted up during the rescue operation.
