US, Phoenix: Chandler Alma School Road Closed After Pickup Truck Crashes Into Tree.

Phoenix, United States - July 25, 2026 07/24/2026 10:58 pm GMT-0700 CHANDLER, Ariz. – Firefighters from the city of Chandler and the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority responded to reports of a traffic collision on Alma School Road near Lake Drive just before 11:00 p.m. Friday. Firefighters arrived and located a pickup truck that appears to have been traveling south on Alma School Road when it collided with several trees in the landscaping between the northbound and southbound lanes. No information was immediately available on whether any occupants were injured or whether any additional vehicles were involved in the collision. Chandler Police closed Alma School Road between Fulton Ranch Boulevard and Lake Drive as they investigated the collision. Officers were seen retracting a Grappler Police Bumper after it appeared to have been deployed. It is unclear if officers were attempting to utilize the Grappler on the pickup before the collision. The roadway was reopened at 2:15 a.m. Saturday following the conclusion of the investigation.
