US, Phoenix: Phoenix Fatal Greenway Road Officer Involved Shooting With Sound On Tape.

Phoenix, United States - June 27, 2026 06/26/2026 11:06 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to Sergeant Buchanan with the Phoenix Police Department Public Affairs Bureau, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a house near 35th Avenue and Greenway Road. Officers arrived and made contact with a female. While officers were speaking to the female, an adult male exited the residence with a knife and an officer-involved shooting occurred. Officers immediately rendered aid to the suspect until he was subsequently transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives from the Department of Public Safety's Major Incident Division responded to the scene and have taken command of the critical incident investigation. Greenway Road is closed in both directions between 35th Avenue and 36th Avenue while the investigation unfolds. The closure is expected to remain in place throughout the morning.
