US, Phoenix: Phoenix Driver Killed After Serious Car vs Semi Truck Crash.

Phoenix, United States - September 10, 2026 09/10/2026 02:28 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Phoenix Police Department and the Phoenix Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with entrapment at the intersection of 75th Avenue and Van Buren Street just before 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Officers arrived and located a white sedan wedged underneath a semi truck trailer. The sedan collided with the passenger side of the trailer while traveling westbound on Van Buren Street before becoming lodged underneath the trailer. Firefighters arrived on scene and began evaluating the single occupant of the car before pronouncing them deceased. Police closed the intersection in all directions as they await the arrival of detectives with the Phoenix Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Unit to conduct a thorough investigation into the collision. The closure is expected to last several hours.
