US, Phoenix: Tempe SWAT Truck Catches Fire On I-10.

Phoenix, United States - June 11, 2026 06/11/2026 04:33 am GMT-0700 TEMPE, Ariz. – Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and firefighters with the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority responded to reports of a vehicle fire at the westbound I-10 to westbound I-10 collector-distributor lanes gore point shortly after 4:30 a.m. Thursday. Troopers and firefighters arrived and located an MRAP SWAT vehicle with a fire on its undercarriage. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire using a fire extinguisher. It is unknown which agency the SWAT vehicle belongs to.
