US, Phoenix: Phoenix I-17 Extrication Crash.

Phoenix, United States - May 30, 2026 05/30/2026 03:50 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and firefighters from the Phoenix Fire Department responded to reports of a traffic collision with an occupant trapped on the northbound lanes of I-17 just north of McDowell Road around 3:50 a.m. Saturday. Troopers arrived and began attempting to pry open the door of the car as they awaited firefighters to arrive at the scene. Firefighters arrived and began extricating the single male occupant of the Dodge Challenger. The extensive extrication took approximately 25 minutes before firefighters freed the man. The man was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to a local area hospital by Phoenix fire personnel.
