US, Phoenix: Mesa Search Underway After Person Goes Missing In Dobson Ranch Lake.

Phoenix, United States - August 29, 2026 08/29/2026 07:24 am GMT-0700 MESA, Ariz. – The Mesa Police Department and firefighters from the cities of Mesa and Tempe responded to reports of a person in the Dobson Ranch Lake needing rescue at the intersection of Dobson Road and Isabella Avenue Saturday morning. Emergency crews arrived on scene and began attempting to locate the last known location of the victim, who reportedly had submerged under the water. A technical rescue team with the Mesa Fire Department deployed an inflatable raft and began using sonar and prodding the floor of the lake to attempt to locate the victim underwater, as a drone was deployed above to assist in the search. After searching the water for an hour, firefighters declared the operation a recovery effort. According to a sergeant with the Mesa Police Department at the scene, a dive team from the city of Tempe was called to assist in the search and recovery efforts. Firefighters have not yet located the victim and await the arrival of the dive team to conduct a thorough search of the lake.
