US, Phoenix: Phoenix Officers And Firefighters Search Canal Waters After 75th Avenue Crash.

Phoenix, United States - September 27, 2026 09/27/2026 01:24 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police and Phoenix fire crews responded to reports of a collision at the intersection of 75th Avenue and Camelback Road. According to Phoenix police at the scene, a Chrysler 300 left the roadway, collided with a power pole, and came to a stop after striking the front of a 7-Eleven convenience store. Officers stated the vehicle was unoccupied upon their arrival but went on to say that the driver is "unaccounted for." Additional fire department resources from Phoenix and Glendale responded to the scene for a water rescue assignment. Fire crews utilized long poles to probe into the canal waters directly behind the 7-Eleven while officers scanned the surface of the canal with flashlights. The Phoenix police helicopter was seen circling overhead with a searchlight while the operation unfolded. A hard closure was established for 75th Avenue, south of the Camelback intersection, while officers investigated the collision.
