US, Phoenix: Peoria L-101 Closed After Multi-Vehicle Crash.

Phoenix, United States - August 25, 2026 08/25/2026 04:06 am GMT-0700 PEORIA, Ariz. – Around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to reports of a multi-vehicle accident with occupants trapped in the southbound lanes of Loop 101 south of Bell Road. Troopers arrived and located a collision involving at least three vehicles. Firefighters from the cities of Peoria, Avondale, and Glendale, along with American Medical Response ambulances, responded to the scene. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, a total of four patients were transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries. Troopers have closed the southbound lanes of Loop 101, diverting all traffic to exit at Bell Road. The closure is expected to remain for several hours as troopers investigate the collision.
