US, Phoenix: Phoenix Jackknifed Semi Closes I-17 To Eastbound I-10 At The Split.

Phoenix, United States - October 10, 2026 10/10/2026 03:49 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers responded to reports of a collision involving a semi truck on Interstate 10 eastbound near the Interstate 17 split. According to AZ DPS officials at the scene, the semi lost control, jackknifed, and struck the right shoulder wall. The semi came to a stop blocking multiple lanes. The driver was not injured in the collision. Troopers established a closure for the southbound lanes of Interstate 17 prior to the Interstate 10 split, diverting all traffic onto the westbound Interstate 10. Eastbound Interstate 10 traffic was funneled through the scene in the HOV and number one lanes. Heavy duty tow crews responded to the scene and began working to clear the wreckage from the travel lanes. The closure lasted approximately 2 hours.
