Hey and welcome to EdTechHustle
0:02
My name is Rich and in this video I'm going to show you a really quick Canva trick that
0:07
you can do to make the text in your design look awesome
0:10
Okay, so the first thing you have to do is go to Canva and you're going to want to change
0:16
the background. In this case I'm just going to change mine from white to black
0:20
The next thing you'll want to do is to add some text and I'm going to type Touchdown
0:25
Now as I type this, what I want to do is now change this font from Canva Sans to something
0:30
maybe something a little bit thicker like this. I'm going to make my text bigger because I want this to span almost the entire width
0:37
of my design. And after you have your text created, you can change the background if you'd like
0:43
I'm just going to leave mine white. But what you want to do is go onto your text and we will duplicate this by selecting this
0:51
button, duplicate. And on your second text that you create, what you want to do is go up to the top where it
0:57
says effects and we are going to choose the option that says hollow and I'm going to make
1:02
this a little bit thinner. Okay, again you can adjust that however you want
1:06
But after you have that done, we're just going to take our text and kind of bring it together
1:11
just like that. So now what I want is my subject to kind of interact in this text
1:16
I'm going to blend part of my subject in the text on my design
1:21
So to do that, I'm just going to go to elements and I'm going to choose one of these football
1:25
players that I previously had selected before. Okay, so once you have your subject inside your design, what we're going to do is select
1:35
it and go to edit photo and I'm going to choose this option that says background remover
1:40
It was able to remove that background really quick. I just want to kind of position my subject towards the middle where he is going to bleed
1:48
kind of in between this text. Let me just move that down a bit and move my subject up just a little kind of like that
1:55
Okay, here's the last step. Now what I want to do is just select my subject, go up to the top where it says position and
2:02
there's an option where you can choose by default this shows up, but there's an option
2:06
where you can choose layers. And from layers, I'm just going to take my subject and move them in between my two textiles
2:12
kind of like that. Okay, so now it kind of looks like this. I can kind of move my text down a little bit and then move my subject up just kind
2:21
of so there's, so his shoulders are almost right through that text
2:26
Just like that. I've got him pointing right between this text and you can see this looks really interesting
2:32
This is a great way for you to take advantage of some of those features in Canva to create
2:38
some pretty cool designs. Now from here, if I wanted to put more of a different background, I could easily go
2:44
up to the top and just do a football background. Okay, kind of like this
2:50
I can select this, make this a little bit bigger. And now once I have this in place, we're going to go back to position
2:57
I'm going to go to layers again and just add that over the bottom
3:03
And there we go. We have a design that kind of looks like that
3:07
So I hope this quick tip in Canva has been helpful. If you find these tips are beneficial for you, please feel free to subscribe so you
