How to speed up a Canva video
0:03
Hey guys, welcome back to the YouTube channel. Today we'll be taking a look at how you can get started with reducing or increasing or decreasing the speed of videos on Canva
0:15
You can do this with uploads that you have uploaded yourself or source content that you derive from Canva
0:22
So this can be especially helpful if you're looking for a basic tool to simplify your day-to-day needs with editing and, you know, editing and, you know
0:30
it can really simplify a lot of work for you so to get started all you have to do is go on over to canber.com
0:38
once you are on canva.com you are just going to click on videos and you can click on create blank and you can upload
0:45
your own video or you can go into your element section and you can search for any kind of video that you want
0:51
let's say i want to get a video of people walking and i can click on videos over here in the element section
0:59
And you know, I have this video over here, it's two people walking, and I'm just going to increase the frame size, so it fits very nicely
1:07
And I have this video speed. It is, you know, relatively slow speed. Let's say I want to speed this up
1:13
Maybe I want to add it into a introduction of my YouTube channel, the outro, whatever you might be creating, whatever you might need this for
1:23
All you have to do is you're going to click on the video itself
1:27
So click on the canvas of the video. And once you click on the video, you actually get this option on the top over here
1:35
It says playback. So you will click on playback. Now, once you click on playback, on the left side of your screen, you see your video speed
1:45
One is the original speed it's at, and then you can increase it to two
1:49
And if you enter a input, a number over here, over two, it cannot be increased
1:55
So on Canva, you can speed, videos up to twice as fast and you can decrease this speed by 0 so you can decrease the video speed by minus you know 8 so if i want to
2:11
increase the speed let's say i increase it i just have to pull that forward and now if i take
2:15
a look at the video it has been sped up now a way to make it even faster is that you take the video okay
2:23
once you have the edited video you're going to click on share click on download and download
2:29
this as a MP for file and you're just going to download this as a MP for file and we're going to wait for the download to be completed so it doesn't take very long to download on Canva and you know comparison to other items or other platforms so I'm just going to wait a couple of seconds for our download to be completed so I can show you guys how you can speed up videos further and a alternate method if you don't want to do it on Canva if you find this to be a little too
2:59
time consuming for you or it might be not as customizable because someone might want to increase the
3:05
video speed by 10 times or 20 times and for that you can't you know directly use canva you'll have to
3:12
do this process over and over again so let's say i have this video cut this couple and i've
3:19
sped it up twice but i want it to be even faster so you're going to go into share download it as the
3:25
before as we are downloading it over here and I'm just going to take a look at our
3:32
download so our download has been completed now I'm going to speed this up even further
3:38
in Canva once I have downloaded it I'm just going to take a new frame
3:42
that I can even delete the original frame then I'm going to go into my uploads on
3:47
the left side of my screen click on upload files go into my downloads and I will go on
3:54
go on ahead and upload the file that I just had. Having an error with this file, so I'm going to choose the other file
4:03
So I just uploading this file And this is just the video we took from Canma and sped it up twice and now we are just going to resize it once more and you can click on playback once again on the top of your screen and speed it up further so now it has been uh you know the speed has been increased four times from the original speed now this can be a little combasome to do if you are doing this over and over again for you know a video if you wanted to be 10x faster or you know
4:34
For that, I recommend going on Google and searching for change video speed online video cutter
4:40
And you just click on the first link over here, it's this platform
4:44
You can click on Open File, open your file over here. And you see this option of speed on the top once you open your file
4:53
So you can see this is like your speed over here, and you can increase it, and you can increase it upwards of four times the original speed
5:03
So now it's four times the original download speed and you can also slow it down if you want
5:09
So you have the slowed down version. And this drill is a lot more convenient to use if the only use for you is to speed up or speed down videos
5:21
But you can do it natively on Canva. Plus doing it on Canva also enables you to just do it a lot simply
5:29
So you can do it with any of the elements on Canva. you can go into your element section you can find a lot of different royalty-free content as well so
5:38
if i'm looking to build something like a um like a welcome video and i want someone to be saying hi
5:45
or waving in a video i can find so many different you know videos for that and having a native
5:53
tool to edit your videos is a lot helpful than having to go to third-party apps especially if you
5:59
only want to increase the speed by 1% or 2% So you can go into your playback and make it twice as faster
6:06
Now we have a faster version of this video. And this is especially helpful when you trying to build adverts on Canva as well by joining some of the basic video content that you have So now moving forward other than these basic uses you have a lot more of use cases for Canva
6:23
I don't just recommend this for, you know, editing the speeds of videos
6:28
If you go on to the video editor on Canva, you have a bunch of different easy to assemble templates
6:33
And if you're looking for a specific use case like a mobile video, Facebook videos
6:38
Instagram Reels, TikTok videos. You have so many amazing templates that are going to help you in
6:45
creating the best content that you can for your, you know, social media platforms or any of your
6:52
platform. So you guys can see this is like an amazing frame and you can make your content stand out
6:58
Now, in terms of editing tools, you also have these kinds of frames and you can easily just go into
7:04
your element section on Canva and search for any kind of frame
7:08
you know just use it inside over here and you know you can input any of your videos and change up the
7:15
background and you know have a very customized appearance to this so other than that other than these
7:21
basic video editing tools you have a lot more that canva can do for you so if i take a look at some
7:28
of the other templates you have ad-based templates as well you have productivity templates and
7:34
you can build you know color schemes as well you have so many amazing trends
7:38
you can use and so much more. So to use Canada effectively I definitely do think you should
7:45
you know take a look at the other features. You can click on edit video, you have multiple different filters
7:50
beta adjusters where you can change the appearance of the video as well as add you know multiple different
7:57
elements, you know moving GIF elements as well. So I hope you guys found this video helpful
