If you're looking to create your own classroom rules poster and you like
0:03
saving time, stay tuned because I'm going to show you how you can do this with
0:07
Canva. But before I do, consider subscribing to my YouTube channel where
0:11
each week I'll be sharing new tips just like this one. So thanks for your
0:15
consideration and now let's get to the video. So school is starting and you need
0:19
decorations for your classroom and what better decoration than to add a
0:23
classroom rules poster. So I want to show you an easy way to make an awesome
0:28
poster. So to create our posters we are going to use the website Canva. Now if
0:32
you don't have a Canva account, don't worry. If you go to the website
0:36
canva.com slash education, you'll be able to sign up for a free Canva Pro account
0:43
as long as you verify that you're a teacher. Now your school also has the
0:48
option where they can sign up for a district account which again is free and
0:52
it will give every teacher in the district a free version of Canva. This is
0:57
something that I would highly recommend. But once you have your Canva for
1:01
Education account created, all you'll have to do is search for classroom rules
1:05
poster and you'll see that Canva is going to share hundreds of different
1:11
professionally designed templates with you. So all you'll have to do is to pick
1:16
a poster that you think you might like. I'm gonna take this one and immediately
1:21
I can change anything that I want on the poster. I'm going to start by changing the
1:27
name of the teacher. Then I'm going to change the color of the background. And
1:34
if I want to, obviously I can change the text of the rules. But if these look good
1:39
if I go over to elements and just select school, it's going to give me many
1:46
different images that I can use on my poster. So I'll just take this one, a few
1:52
other items as well. Now if you have your own images that you want to add to
1:57
the poster, all you'll have to do is choose the option that says upload. Okay
2:02
my poster is finished and now what I'd like to do is to save this to a format
2:06
where it can be printed. Now before I save this to a format, if you have a
2:11
specific size for the poster in mind, there is an option at the top where you
2:16
can customize the size of this poster. So I'm just going to go down and just
2:21
select this option. This is going to be 18 by 24 and I'm going to select resize
2:27
And now my poster is that exact dimension. So from here if I just select
2:34
share and download, I'm going to download this as a PDF print and just select the
2:43
download button. In seconds your poster will automatically be downloaded. From here I can print this. There's a lot of options whether you want to print this
2:52
in your school to the color copier if you have one. You could take this to a
2:57
different printing press to have them print a color copy or you could even
3:00
print directly through Canva. A lot of different options. So I hope this video
3:04
was helpful and I also hope that you have a wonderful school year. Thanks for
3:09
watching and if you have questions leave them in the comment area below
