Let me show you how to do this in Canva. The first thing I have to do is to actually publish my website

If it's not a website, it's maybe a poster or it's a presentation

The first thing you have to do is publish it as a view-only link

But since this is a website, I can just select publish website

I'm just going to keep everything the way it is by default and select continue

In just a few minutes, my website will be published and now I can copy the link

Now that my site is published, I can proceed in a few different ways to create that QR code

I can go to Google and just do a search for a QR code generator

and find one of these websites that will allow me to create a QR code

But a lot of times there's parameters there and some of those sites have a lot of spam

and pop-ups that I just don't want to encounter. I'm going to do everything directly inside Canva

To create a QR code of your design, go ahead and select share

Then we're going to go to the bottom and click on these three dots. You'll see right in the middle is an option for QR code

Now all I have to do is paste the URL to my website, which is right over here

I can now generate my QR code and there it is. I can download this as an image file and add this anywhere where I'd like

Now here's my second example of ways that you can use a QR code

I have this poster that I created for the pancake breakfast. Now at the bottom corner, I'd like to put a QR code where people can scan and purchase tickets

Now again, I could go to some of these shady QR code generator websites

I could create a QR code with Chrome, but I don't want that little dinosaur in the middle

So what I'm going to do is go back to my design and I'm going to go over to the side where it says

apps. From our apps, you should be able to see the QR code app

If you don't see it, go ahead and search in Canva apps

But I'm going to select our QR code app. I'm going to paste the address that will direct people to the site to buy tickets
