So in this video I'm going to share a problem that I had with using Canva and how I was
0:05
able to solve it. And that problem is for this presentation I'd like to have a gradient for my background
0:11
So the first thing I did is I found a shape from the element section and I extended it
0:18
to be the background. But the problem is is that while you can change the color you can only change it to one individual
0:24
solid color. You have no way to create that gradient that I was looking for
0:30
So this wasn't going to work. So the next thing that I did is I went back to my elements and I did a search for gradient
0:38
So I was given shapes with different gradient colors but the problem with these was that
0:43
you have no way of customizing the color. So these won't work either
0:48
So here's what I was able to do. I came across this website from Your Template Club that goes through and it shows how you
0:56
can create gradient backgrounds. And all you'll have to do is follow the directions on the screen and that is search for this
1:04
name Contributor Danny. So if I go back to Canva and this time rather than searching for gradient I'm going to search
1:11
Contributor Danny. And you can see lots of different gradients that are available that you can use in your projects
1:20
So let me take this one. And at the top I do have that ability to change the colors
1:25
So I can say yellow and I can say red. I have this here
1:31
Now I can just kind of extend this. I can set this as my background and I can use this gradient in all of my slide designs
1:40
It's also going to work with some of those other elements as well
1:45
You can take any of these, bring them in and then have the option to change the color
1:51
So just a really cool trick that I was able to find that I think is going to save me a
1:55
lot of time and help make my designs look awesome. So thank you so much for watching this video
