US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Driver Unconscious After Crashing into Canal Fence.

Bakersfield, United States - June 24, 2026 06/24/2026 01:07 am GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A driver was left unconscious after crashing into the fence line of a water-filled canal near Belle Terrace and South H Street early this morning. The traffic collision occurred at approximately 1:07 a.m. When police officers and firefighters arrived, they found the driver unresponsive in the driver's seat. According to initial unconfirmed information gathered at the scene, the driver showed no movement from the time crews arrived until being placed into an ambulance. Emergency personnel removed the driver from the vehicle and transported them for medical treatment. The extent of the driver’s injuries has not been released. The vehicle came to rest against the canal fence line, narrowly avoiding entering the water. The Bakersfield Police Department and the Bakersfield Fire Department responded to the scene.
