Bakersfield, United States - June 22, 2026 06/21/2026 09:17 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – An investigation is underway after a woman suffered major injuries when she was struck by a truck in the 600 block of Brundage Lane late this evening. Bakersfield police and fire personnel responded to the scene around 09:17 p.m. and found the woman unresponsive in the roadway. A truck involved in the traffic collision remained at the scene as officers began their investigation. Due to the severity of her injuries, a red trauma activation was issued, and the woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities conducted field sobriety tests on the driver, who appeared to pass. The truck sustained visible front-end damage. The circumstances leading up to the traffic collision remain under investigation. The Bakersfield Police Department and Bakersfield Fire Department responded.
