US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Near Chico and Baker Streets.

Bakersfield, United States - September 20, 2026 09/19/2026 10:35 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A pedestrian suffered minor to moderate injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run collision late this evening near Chico Street and Baker Street. The collision occurred around 10:35 p.m. The vehicle fled the scene after striking the pedestrian. It remains unclear what make or model of vehicle was involved. While receiving medical aid, the pedestrian became defensive and belligerent with personnel from the Bakersfield Fire Department. The pedestrian was later transported to Kern Medical for treatment. The Bakersfield Police Department is handling the investigation.
