US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Man Transported to Hospital After Violent Crash Into Railroad Tracks in Newhall.

Los Angeles, United States - May 25, 2026 05/25/2026 03:22 am GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – A man was rushed to the hospital early Monday morning after crashing into a tree and railroad tracks in the Newhall area of Santa Clarita. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to Railroad Avenue near Oak Ridge Street shortly after 3 a.m. for a report of a tree blocking the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies located a vehicle that had crashed into the tree and come to a stop on the railroad tracks. They located the driver of the vehicle and requested the response of Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters and paramedics to treat the man for injuries sustained in the traffic collision. Firefighters and paramedics began treating him, and he was subsequently transported to the hospital by ambulance in unknown condition. The area was closed for a brief period while deputies conducted an investigation and cleared debris from the crash. It is unclear what damage, if any, occurred to the railroad as a result of the incident.
